This morning at the "sky ponds" near the Everglades Airboat Tours along US Rte 41 aka Tamiami Trail, about a mile west/northwest of Carnestown junction SR29 & US Rte 41, I found two American Avocets along with the Long-billed Dowitchers, both Yellowlegs, Black-necked Stilts and Stilt Sandpipers, etc. that I saw yesterday at the same location. American Avocets are uncommon migrants in Collier County. It was my Bird-A-Day bird . . . .
