Not really a report of a known hotspot or of a stunning rarity, but it was still really nice to get out and bird for the first time in a while. This postage stamp park has many fruiting ficus and exotic trees laden with small, green worms, so birds were numerous although diversity was low.
I counted about 250 Cedar Waxwings feeding in a couple trees. Migrants/lingering wintering birds included Summer Tanager, Blue-headed Vireo (singing constantly), Palm Warbler (~30), Black-and-white Warbler (2), and a single Cape May Warbler. The birds were concentrated around the playground and tennis courts.
