Hello y'all,
The bird was spotted initially @ 7:00 AM by birders Jill Gaetzi and Tina Mossbarger. I got there @ 8:00 AM, but it wasn't until about 11:15 AM, when the flycatcher was spotted by Maria (I didn't catch her last name) on the southeast corner of the hammock. Larry Manfredi took several photos of the bird and they should be some fantastic ones since the flycatcher was only about fifteen to twenty feet away. Stunning looks! It went from perching on a low branch - to feeding on trema berries immediately next to it - to perching back on the branch. It must have done this for fifteen minutes (it took Larry about five to get his camera to work while the bird posed for him :)). When I left, the bird was still giving everyone great looks. Post some of those pics Larry! Other notable birds seen:
White-crowned Sparrow - 1
White-crowned Pigeon - 1
Clay-colored Sparrow - 2
Savannah Sparrow - 1
Grasshopper Sparrow - 4
Indigo Bunting - 2
Painted Bunting - 2
Ruby-throated Hummingbird - 1
Nashville Warbler - 1
Tennessee Warbler - 1
Northern Parula - 2
Yellow-breasted Chat - 1 (heard only)
Brown Thrasher - 1
Eastern Phoebe - 2
Gray Catbird - several
White-eyed Vireo - 1

It was nice making the acquaintance of all those birders I met today, including the couple from San Diego whose names I didn't get (friends of Conrad Sankpill).
Cheers and good luck for any of you trying for the flycatcher...it's worth it!
RJ
