Yesterday, I made it to Vince McGraph's residence to observe the Lazuli Bunting. Vince pointed out that it usually comes to the feeder once every hour or so, but stays for about 10 minutes to fill up, unlike the other buntings that come & go throughout the day, eating a little & here and there at each visit. We got good looks while it was eating & then it briefly flew down to one of Vince's birdbaths, but it didn't get wet or drink. It seems like it has put on a little more color than it had in one of the earlier photos. Thank you, Vince for hosting Jan, Ruth, Marcia, and myself to your backyard for great looks at this rare bird. While in wait of the bunting's appearance, other birds noted in Vince's back yard were as follows. The numbers might be a little conservative.
