Today (4/4) I birded the south part of Bill Baggs Cape Florida SP for a short while, finding the La Sagra's Flycatcher ~20 yards west of the (south) entrance to the dirt Nature Trail. After ~5 minutes, it flew toward a large Strangler Fig, 100 yards farther along the trail. Expected warbler species were present but a male Magnolia was a stunner. Two Black-whiskered Vireos quietly foraged between the trail entrance and the lighthouse compound. Usual for this time of year, 2 Common Mynas flew over. They are annual here in spring but don't seem to be in the area other times of the year. I'm curious if they are birds coming up from South Dade or the Crandon Marina birds that are moving around.

My sincere condolences to John Ogden's family. John will be terribly missed by the Florida birding community.
