Truth stranger than fiction I have a number of different wing-body length ratios in shots of both light and dark phase shorties. Sometimes of the absolute same bird (wing angle and aspect can fool the camera). All of mine showed a narrowing of the wing near the body though and the wing tips were slightly different.
Nice trick.
