I was hoping for a decent start to warbler migration today but it was a bit disappointing with only 9 species, all common, and in very limited numbers. There were massive amounts of Gray Catbirds everywhere. The only other passerine that seemed to be moving through in numbers was Indigo Bunting which I saw at almost every stop. Other birds of some note:

Swainson's Hawk (intermediate; soaring with Turkey Vultures across from C-111e canal)

Black-bellied Whistling Duck (6, returning? to residential lake at corner of SW 328th St. and 142nd Ave. in Homestead where they have been sometimes seen before.

Least Tern (1, FOTS, at lake NE of 107th Ave. and SW 280th St. Bald Eagle and N. Shoveler also at this location)

The Scissor-tailed Flycatchers and Western Kingbird are still hanging around 9336. Seems like they should be taking off any day now.
