I can add this beauty to my yardbird list! After an awesome botanical walk this morning through the Deering Estate led by Rick Cohen and Joe Barros, I returned home and had lunch on the patio in my backyard. I looked up and spotted an American Kestrel perched on a telephone wire. I spent several minutes admiring this beautiful specimen before it flew off.
