Great long looks at a bonded pair of GHOs this morning. After a while, they both took off, the female returning a little while later with a breakfast squirrel. Spotted from the south side of the boardwalk - before you get to the open pineland, there's a cut off stump at about the same height as the handrail next to the boardwalk, look south and scan the tall pines. I've been hearing them in that area for a long time, so there's likely a nest nearby.
Other than that, things are still pretty slow. Other sightings included Blue-headed and Yellow-throated Vireo, Pileated Woodpecker, R-T Hummingbird, Osprey. The huge flock of waxwings seems to have left. There were a pair of Nandays hanging around most of last week.
