I braved the tennis madness going on at Crandon today to walk around the nature center. The parking area nearest the center is reserved for beach parking, so the normal $5 weekday rate applies (not the $30 for tennis parking!). I found great-crested flycatcher, prairie warbler, palm warbler, and the above-mentioned black-whiskered vireo. The vireo was pretty active above 50 ft down from the entrance to the Bear Cut Trail.
