This morning, after getting my car its 15,000-mile complimentary maintenance check, I birded Kendall Indian Hammocks Park. I found five species of winter warblers still lingering in the oak hammocks in the park: Black-and-white, Northern Parula, Palm, Yellow-rumped and Black-throated Green. Other than cardinals, the only bird encountered in the main hammock was a Gray Catbird, but heard only. Small flocks of Cedar Waxwings were flying over the park; I also saw them earlier in the morning, flying over my house.
