Vince, I know most of these decisions are never in favor of the environment and the commissioners really have no idea what most of the scientists were talking about. They did a decent job of asking pertinent questions and many of them were wavering on their decision. But Wind Capital made a "promise" to the people of Pahokee and other nearby communities to hire people for the construction "if they are qualified". That's what won them over. Regardless of the fact that 90% of the available jobs will be only 6 months long. And only 10-15 permanent. And we all know they will be bringing in folks from out of town for the most important positions. Very little will be given back to the community. Temporary fix for jobs but a permanent detriment to the Everglades. Lots of promises and even more BS.
