Bill Boeringer just called to report that his Vermilion Flycatcher is back for its second year here in south Miami-Dade County. The bird is in full adult plumage, last year he arrived as an immature male. On the road just before going into Everglades National Park (about ½ mile before the Lucky Hammock turn off) just over a bridge on the south side of the road, is the South Dade Greenway Trail Park. Turn left into the park and look for square fenced in area near a pump, the bird likes perching on this.
