American Flamingos from March 1st.

I took a trip into Lake Ingraham, Everglades National Park by boat, to see the American Flamingos that have been there most of the winter. Video can be seen here:

Despite pretty strong winds, you can hear the American Flamingos honking which is pretty neat. You can also seem them in their unique feeding style, shuffling their feet up and down and turning in a counter clockwise motion. They then put their heads under water looking for their prey, perhaps shrimp. It is a shame that you can't get to the birds except by boat, the birds are pretty close, unlike when they have shown up in Snake Bight.
