I spent the early morning hours starting at dawn with Monica Folk, Ph.D., wildlife consultant/biologist. We were monitoring Red-cockaded Woodpecker clusters in the Picayune Strand State Forest here in Collier County. I'm happy to report that the RCWs are doing well there and their numbers are increasing statewide per Monica. Cool . . . .
