I had a forced vacation day today and headed to AD Barnes in the afternoon. The place was fairly quiet. The main hammock had no birds at all! Not even a Blue Jay. Most activity was in the oak grove on the left as one enters the park. Plenty of Palm and Pine Warblers feeding (many were catching worms/caterpillars) and 1 Black-and-white Warbler. Overhead had a female Merlin and several singing Purple Martins.
Later had a Swallow-tailed Kite (fos) soaring over Sunset Dr. and SW 65 Ave.
