Just want everyone to know there are lots of birds in sw Broward Cty.,(Cooper City area) too! In our yard today, we saw:
Chestnut-sided warblers, dozens
Black-throated blues, dozens
Magnolia warblers 4
Prairies 3
Tennessee 5
Black & white 2
Common yellowthroat 1
Northern Parulas 3
Redstarts 6
Orange crowned 1
Prothonotary 1 Bathing in one of our ponds! Beautiful!
Swainson's Thrush 4
Hermit Thrush 1
Yellow-throated vireo
White-eyed vireo
Red-eyed vireo
Catbirds galore
House wren
Painted buntings 3 females
Eastern wood pee-wee 2
Rose-breasted grosbeaks 2
Summer tanager
Spot-breasted orioles
Pileated Woodpecker
Blue gray gnatcatchers
A great day of birding without leaving home! Tommorrow, we'll head for Cape Fla. to see if we can see those Scarlet Tanagers.
