Not sure where the county line is., .Loop Road is the actual name of the road. I was told that this road was originally built to be part of Rt41 and the Tamiami Trail. If you travel west on 41 from the entrance to Shark Valley it is the first left turn with a full left turn lane (maybe a couple of miles) and the STREET SIGN is very evident. I believe it is approximately 24 miles in length, mostly dirt and just loaded with birds from one end to the other. The first couple of miles have some homes and then it gets rural in a hurry.
