Fall Out in Arch Creek Park

North Dade County seems to be the place to be for an amazing assortment of migrants. After a rainy early morning, in a 2-hour period (1030am-1230pm)Arch Creek Park produced 18 species of warblers and other migrants observed along its wooded trails. The following species were observed:
American Redstart
Bay-breasted Warbler - 1
Black & White Warbler
Black-throated Green W.
Black-throated Blue W.
Common Yellowthroat W.
Chestnut-sided Warblers - 3
Yellow-throated Warbler
Palm Warbler - 7(FOS)
Prairie Warbler
Pine Warbler
Worm-eating Warbler - 2
Northern Waterthrush
Northern Parula W.
Magnolia Warbler - 1
Ovenbird
Tennessee Warblers - 8 (3 small groups)
Hooded Warbler - 1 (Beautiful male)
Red-eyed Vireo
White-eyed Vireo
Yellow-throated Vireo
Scarlet Tanager
Northern Cardinal
Indigo Bunting
Painted Bunting
Wood Pewee
Veery - 2
Gray-cheeked Thrush - 1
Swainson's Thrush - 8
I understand that Greynolds Park was just as amazing with large groups of warblers, vireos and thrushes. We will have a follow-up on Saturday after the passage of the cold front. Have a great weekend of birding!
