Large movement of migrants:

blue gray gnatcatchers
prairie warblers
yellow warblers
catbirds (best seen in large numbers at sunset)
black throated blue warblers
cooper's hawk (just follow the screaming jays)
cormorant roosts (watch the night flights at sunset as they come to roost in the pines along the DOT off ramp)
mourning doves numbers increasing
ovenbirds (inside the hammock in the ground cover)
cardinals
loggerhead shrikes

Hoechoka Hammock is located in the middle of the 24 acre site for the Church Mary Help of Christians at Sawgrass and University in the N.E. quadrant. The Hammock proper is reached by entering the church entrance road, turn left at the mailbox and park on the first grass island. The hammock is approached by walking up the white sand entrance way. A shade tent with chairs is visible (bird feeder area). The hammock is obvious and the trails are clear.
