A small but energetic group birded today. highlights as follows:

Shark valley:
Great White Heron-1
Purple gallinule-7 ( great views)

Loop Road: we birded the whole road, it has reopened today. It is well graded and easy to drive but crowded.
Screech Owl-1
Barred Owl-2 Great Views
Downy Woodpeckers-6
Parula-8
Pine-1
Northern Waterthrush-1

We then returned to the Airboat Concession and finally Glenn Miller was " in the mood" to spot a Snail Kite . We got great scope looks. For a while it looked like this was going to be the first TAS Shark Valley trip to be skunked in Snail Kites.

Karen Frauman and John ended by stopping to view the nesting Broward Bald Eagle east of route 27 on Pines Blvd in Broward
