At the east side of Echo lake we saw what we were told was a chestnut mannikin yesterday at about 5 pm. The sighting was also made by many others although noone was 100% sure. We were told the identification had been made by Park rangers a day or so previously.
Can anyone confirm the species identification? We are visitors from Pennsylvania and relatively new birdwatchers.
