This morning, around 8:30am, the Great Cormorant was seen at its usual morning spot at the end of the rock jetty near the Cape Florida Lighthouse.
This afternoon, at 2:30pm, visiting birders from Tennessee sighted the La Sagra's Flycatcher when it perched for two minutes at the top of a buttonwood tree about 30' east of the park restroom that is west of the white gate and nature trail. The restroom (not labeled but called restroom "#6" by park staff) is located between the paved bike path and the dirt nature trail, roughly halfway between the harbor and the southmost parking lot. The bird flew off towards the southeast when it departed.
