A late afternoon visit to Snyder Park produced my FOTS Veerys and Swainson’s
Thrushes as well as an Eastern Wood-Pewee, Scarlet Tanager, and a couple of Baltimore
Orioles. Eight species of warblers were also seen but none that were unusual. Snyder
Park is on SW 4th Ave. north of Ft. Lauderdale International Airport and south of SR 84.

Northern Parula - 5
Black-throated Blue Warbler - 7
Yellow-throated Warbler - 1
Prairie Warbler - 5
Black-and-white Warbler - 2
American Redstart - 2
Worm-eating Warbler - 2
Ovenbird - 3

Other migrants and birds of interest seen:

Chuck-will's-widow - 1
Eastern Wood-Pewee - 1
Red-eyed Vireo - 3
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher - 18
Veery - 3
Swainson's Thrush - 10
Gray Catbird - 4

Scarlet Tanager - 1
Baltimore Oriole - 2
