I stopped by the pond this morning. Parking is very convenient (turn into the shopping center on the SE corner of Commercial and Univ; then go to the SE corner) but sight lines are limited from the grassy edge by the parking lot. I did see the swans, one Egyptian Goose, the Ruddy Ducks and a few others. Most interesting bird was a nearly all-white mallard, with only a thin strip of black on the flank, maybe the edge of a folded wing.
It's a nice little place, but ringed with houses and very "tame"; it would be very surprising if the birds were not just pets.
