This Saturday, February 18th @ 7AM we will meet for a Day of Nature Photography in and around Everglades National Park. All are welcome... Please be prompt since we don't want to lose the good morning light waiting to head out. There is a Fee to enter the park and bring a lunch if you plan to stay for the entire day.
I did a little scouting a couple of weeks ago and found quite a few great subjects for photos. Anhinga are nesting and one nest was well positioned for easy shots of the birds on the nest. There has also been an American Bittern making good appearances as well as many of the other usual subjects. Likely there will be Yellow-rumps everywhere and other migrants are beginning to pass through so who knows what we will see.
I will have my camera with me but will be there to assist anyone who would like some instruction and tips on how to take better and more interesting photos. The last couple of years we have had all levels of photographers make the walk. So bring your SLR, Video Camera, your Point & Shoot or just your binoculars and join us.
There are plenty of subjects waiting to have their pictures taken and it will be fun to see what the group will capture after all is said and done.
