ENP - Chekika Campground

After the Sparrow Fields, Audrey and I went into Chekika Campground area in Everglades National Park. At the intersection of SW 237th Ave., we headed south to the end of the road where 2 gates stopped us from going further. From there, we spotted 2 perched White-tailed Kites in the far trees to the south. One more was spotted and identified flying directly east of our location. Two more possible kites were also seen, but were too far for positive conformation. All birds were viewed through scopes. We traveled back to the Chekika Campground where we did a quick walk-through, seeing 60+ Killdeers in the parking lot, several Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, a Northern Parula, and from the boardwalk, I briefly spotted a small Rail-type bird, (Virginia, Sora, maybe?) in the sawgrass. After leaving the campground, we turned north on SW 237 ave., and drove to the end where we heard 3 King Rails call out. Other birds noted are as follows:
