If anyone is visiting Key Biscayne, look for the light phase Short-tailed Hawk that soars low over Crandon Blvd. It has been very consistent for ~6 weeks. It is most often seen over Winn Dixie or Shell station.

Also, anyone needing Lesser Black-backed (adult) or Great Black-backed Gulls (immature) can find them consistently at Crandon Park Beach on a low tide. Herring Gulls are in large number now and several Laughing Gulls are sporting breeding plumage.

Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park is fairly quiet. An immature Broad-winged Hawk (named "Pablo" by a park ranger) frequents the administrative area and interior pond trail. [If anyone sees the Short-tailed Hawk over Baggs, please let someone know -- they are trying to get it officially on the Park list. So far it's not cooperating and stays 1/2 mile north of entrance.]
