Black-throated Gray Warbler (Matheson); Gulls (Key Biscayne)

The Black-throated Gray Warbler was seen today (Sunday) at 11:30 AM. It was with a small mixed flock also containing a Yellow-throated Vireo. They were in the oaks directly west of the stone observation deck, approximately 30 yds. from beginning of paved path.

A larger mixed flock was farther south along dirt path. In it, were Black-and-white, Yellow-rumped, Northern Parula, and Palm Warblers as well as Blue-headed Vireo.

On Crandon Beach flats this morning, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and 1 Great Black-backed Gull were seen. Another LBBG was on light post of first bridge on Rickenbacker Causeway. 1 Caspian Tern was with Royals and 4 Piping Plovers were with Black-bellied and Semi-palmated Plovers.
