The past two mornings have been an amazing warbler watching event at Arch Creek and Enchanted Forest Parks in North Miami. 14 species of warblers have been observed highlighted by a Chestnut-sided Warbler on 9/15/04 in Arch Creek Park and a Swainson's Warbler in the Enchanted Forest Park on 9/16/04. Large numbers of specific species include 15 Worm-eating Warblers, 25 Ovenbirds, 26 American Redstarts, and 15 Northern Waterthrushs. A Yellow-throated Vireo was seen on the hammock trail in Enchanted Forest. These diverse park habitats provide ideal feeding areas for many species and they are easily accesible by taking the nature trails that traverse through both parks. Also great butterfly watching as well.
