Yesterday I started at the cemetery adjacent to Indian Hammocks. Highlights there were Cooper's Hawk, Kestrel, RT Hummingbirds, E. Phoebe, BG Gnatcatchers and a mixed flock of several Yellow-rumped Warblers and individual Black-and-white, Prairie and Palm Warblers. There was also a continuous stream of Tree Swallows flying northward.

Afterwards headed to Castellow Hammock. Did not find the Rufous Hummingbird but did see several RT Hummers. Most activity was by the feeders and just sitting there for 15 minutes gave me White-winged and Mourning Doves, Blue Jays, BG Gnatcatcher, Mockingbird, Brown Thrasher, N. Parula, Ovenbird, female Painted Bunting, Cardinals and Common Grackle . A dead gray Screech Owl was lying under an owl house. The bird was intact so I don't think it was killed by another animal. Ate something poisoned?

In the afternoon, while walking with a friend in Miami Shores/El Portal, had Egyptian Geese, Sharp-shinned Hawk, Mitred Parakeets, lots of RT Hummingbird activity in an Orchid Tree and a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker.
