We saw this same bird just before you did. We saw it eat a dragonfly. My friend got a couple of pictures, but he had the light behind the bird so the details are missing. Still, it was a great bird, although I was stumped on the ID. It did not make any calls. We saw the same list of birds except for the tanagers. We had eight warbler species, with Yellow-throated, Redstart, and Prairie completing the list. Not bad numbers. After this, we headed for low tide at the Crandon Flats and the place was rocking! Awesome array of terns, plovers, and sandpipers. Good numbers of Black Skimmers also. Look forward to getting a positive ID on the flycatcher. Great day.
