I had no chance to go up for the Hudsonian Godwits this weekend, nor do the 20 minute trip to see the Willow... I hate weekends where your not allowed to do anything cause of too much homework! Of all the weekends all my teachers decide to give tons of homework for the weekend!
Well, despite all this, I had a few good birds in my neighborhood, including my state and year Least Flycatcher.
The bird was bright and freshly molted. Nine warbler species were seen yesterday in Morningside Park and Miami Shores:
Northern Parula
Yellow-throated Warbler
Black-throated Blue Warbler- 3
Black-and-white Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Worm-eating Warbler- 4 total
Ovenbird
Northern Waterthrush
American Redstart

Today, I saw the same species excluding the waterthrush and Yellow-throated Warbler. Also seen: Red-eyed and Yellow-throated Vireos, and Blue-gray Gnatcatcher.
