Closures & Wakodahatchee

Loxahatchee NWR is closed to the public. Also closed today is Okeeheelee in West Palm Beach.

Wakodahatchee is open (as noted below) but the Alligator flag is pretty beat up. Two blue winged teals, many coots, gallinules and moorhens and surprisingly many very little babies that must have hatched during the sorm last week.

But for unknown reasons no Great blue Herons at all. Also, no joggers or power walkers! No warbler activity this date and heard only a red-shouldered hawk. RWBB arriving in numbers and many green back herons.

Those in the Coral Spring area, see several wood storks in the water retention ponds in front of Loews at Turtle Walk. Regular barnyard birds they are!
