This morning, I visited several south Dade birding locations:
C357 sparrow fields-Orchard and Baltimore Oriole, Painted Buntings along SW 168 Street just west of the entrance gate. Nothing of note in the fields.
Chekika-flushed a Wilson's Snipe from under the boardwalk in the parking area. Otherwise, nothing of note.
Castellow Hammock-easily found the Rufous Hummingbird at the Hong Kong Orchid tree; several Ruby-throats were in the butterfly garden.
Cutler Wetlands-Mottled Duck, both Green and Blue-winged Teal, Glossy Ibis, Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs
Lake on SW 107 Avenue at SW 268 Street-Horned Grebes (6) and Red-breasted Mergansers (about 30)
