The only way to see flamingos without a boat is to go to the Hialeah Race Track. Ha ha! Actually, if you're an adept paddler, they rent canoes and kayaks at Flamingo, but it's about an 11-mile paddle one way. Cape Sable is another two miles, and that's a nice place to camp, or you can paddle back toward Flamingo a few miles and camp at Clubhouse Beach. I'm paddling back out there Wednesday and coming back Friday. Your only other option is to hire a fishing guide.
