At around 11:00 AM went to MDC Env. Center and had the following highlights:

Pied-billed Grebe
Great Blue Heron (didn't swallow the grebe!)
Osprey
White-eyed Vireo
Blue-headed Vireo
BG Gnatcatcher
Gray Catbirds (several)
N. Parula
Yellow-rumped Warblers
Prairie Warbler
Common Yellowthroat (male)
Wilson's Warbler (male)
Rose-breasted Grosbeak (f)

Seems the Grosbeak I had for the CBC is still hanging around. The Wilson's Warbler I had for the CBC was a female. This was a male. I watched it bathe in the fountain along with the Parula and some Yellow-rumped Warblers. Another highlight at the Center was several Atala butterflies, beautiful creatures.

Briefly headed to Kendall Indian Hammocks (cemetery area) which was quiet except for a battle I witnessed between a male Kestrel and an immature Sharp-shinned Hawk. The hawk started the fight but the Kestrel won and chased the hawk off. One of the birds, not sure which, made sharp squealing noises during the battle.

Later went to Fairchild Tropical Garden. Several exotics (Blue/Gold Macaws, Yellow-chevroned Parakeets and Hill Mynas) as well as Cooper's Hawk, Osprey, Prairie Warbler and BG Gnatcatchers.
