I went to Sadowski this morning looking for a Hermit Thrush for Bird A Day, but found not. I have had them at Sadowski the past 3-4 years in January. This year workers have been cleaning up the trails and repairing the boardwalks over the rocks. I assume this activity was enough to prevent the Hermit Thrush from returning this year.
I did find a nice selection of wintering birds but they were not cooperative in allowing good photos. They stayed high in the trees, hidden behind vegetation and moved around a lot.
