Just found this website today for the first time, so I'm going to post something I saw last year for the first time. I was in my backyard with my father (an avid birder, he's like a walking Field Guide), we saw a male AND female painted bunting. They were there for about 10 minutes then flew away. What gorgeous birds. First time I had seen those in my life. My dad hadn't seen one in years in our house (live in Miami near 826 and Tamiami Trail). I know it's old, but worth posting.
