My neighbor in Gables Estates Miguel Fernandez just had a meeting at his house tonight with representatives from Old Cutler Bay and Gables by the Sea. The developer is or is represented by Mark Buoniconti . A lawyer explained that there is a law that says you must have a referendum to change County Parks but the exception to the law is marinas. The developers have budgetted 18 million which will be raised privately. This facility will house over 360 boats and is 55 feet high and over 500 feet long.Coral Gables must approve thru The Board of Architects and Building and Zoning. It's already gone thru parts of the approval process. Our best chance is the City of Coral Gables.
