In most of Florida, the resident Boat-tailed Grackles are westoni, which is a dark-eyed race. Light-eyed races (torreyi & alabamensis) breed in extreme NE Florida and possibly the extreme western panhandle.
Boat-tailed Grackles are pretty rare in the keys, but may sometimes be seen on Key Largo.
A range map is available in: Stevenson, H. M. 1978. The populations of Boat-tailed Grackles in the southeastern United States. Proc. Biol. Soc. Wash. 91:27-51, which can be found online at the Biodiversity Heritage Library (see the link).
