Winds have been steady from the west at ~38-42 kts with gusts close to 50. The most interesting birds so far have been terns: Sandwich, Forsters, 2 Common and best, a juvenile Sooty Tern. It landed on the beach at 11:30 and within 3-4 minutes, Laughing Gulls were picking at it. It rested ~5 more minutes, then took off. I got a fair digiscope photo.

Swallows have been steady all morning, with large movements at 8:30 and 11, when they filled the sky. Most have been Barns, but smaller species are mixed in. A large flock of Black-bellied Plovers came in with some Willets. Another large flock of mixed shorebirds tried to come in, but had to keep going. Other birds trying to come in are Cattle Egrets and Little Blue Herons. About 10 Ospreys are around and Frigatebirds are over the bay.
