While I am still unconvinced that this is a first generation Wurdemann's, it is still present at Wakodahatchee (see photos -- more coming). (I do, however, believe that it is a form of Wurdemann's.)

I never subscribed to the idea that she (as I understand her gender to be) had left. I thought that it was simply a matter of timing -- that she was off searching for food while her mate was sitting on the nest.

Activity at Wakodahatchee is picking up (unlike earlier in November) and it is probably worth a trip for those who have never been (or who have not been recently) and who are in the neighborhood.
