After visiting someone today at Aventura Hospital I walked towards a pond with vegetation nearby near an overpass (US1 and Ives Dairy) and saw a pair of Mallards (male and female). They both looked and acted "wild" with all the standard characteristics (except the female had a dull olive yellow bill, but she had the Mallard's broad white edgings to the purple blue speculum). They could still be feral but who knows. Also, I flushed a Wilson's Snipe as I was trying to get a better view of the ducks.
