I have struck out with the West Lake Blue-winged Warbler again, but I did find Bill's LA Waterthrush. Right near the beginning of the boardwalk, 20 feet away, we got great looks at all field marks.

Also, this morning there was a LOT of activity aroud downtown Flamingo, especially across the road from the visitor center (restored Brazilian pepper area). In one brushpile there was a Yellow-brested Chat, Brown Thrasher, House Wren + a few others. Several Sapsuckers were on the scattered buttonwoods and the Cardinals and Prairie Warblers are singing already.

Some people have said birding would not be as good w/o the pepper - I would argue that it is getting better!
