Hey birders,
It's nice to be back in S.FL!! SWAINSON'S HAWK, dark juv, was near intersection of 9336/Aerojet rd, 5 SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHERS and two VESPER SPARROWS were perched on the wires (no sign of Ash-throated this morning) behind the small hammock at the same intersection (yesterday the SCISSOR-TAILED FCs and a WESTERN KINGBIRD were on the wires closer to Lucky Hammock). Plenty of GRASSHOPPER, SWAMP & one LINCOLN'S SPARROW along Aerojet rd. (LISP was by the 4th power pole before the sliding yellow fence/gate that leads to the Annex) Also my first SEDGE WREN at Lucky Hammock was very visible when walking the dirt rd byside the hammock (100yds down, even got a picture).
The Annex area yielded an ORANGE-CROWNED & BLUE-WINGED WARBLER (5th power pole past the sliding yellow fence/gate, west side) hanging with a couple of PAINTED BUNTINGS & BG GNATCATCHERS. A very good morning!!
Hope to run into everyone soon,
Audrey
