Last year putting the box up in May was just too late: the owls chose a hollow Malayan. This year they were in by March, juveniles seen in early May. 4 fledglings spent all of May, June, July in the trees day and night with lots of dusk feeding and frolicking by all 6 owls. I think some of the young still slept in the box in the day for a long time. Now a squirrel hangs out there!
