I guess I'm mixing up my months - I'm much more of a photographer who likes to shoot birds than a bird expert. Looking back through my photos, it looks like I get palms from October through March mostly. I've always assumed them to be 'eastern', as that's how they were first described to me. The first time a western was pointed out to me, they were less 'yellow' looking on the belly...so I've probably been misidentifying the two.
Either way, any luck in figureing out what that bird in the photo is? I still have never photographed a palm with such a distinctly clear, bright, and bold white on the throat and face.
