A wad of Flamingos and a query

This Saturday there were 47 or 48 Greater Flamingos off the West side of Garfield Bight. I wish I had a scope with me, I still haven't seen the Yucatan tagged one.

August 14 Rafael and I found 13 Greater Flamingos that were Southeast of Palm Key and later flew to Snake Bight.
On the 14th we watched the tide fall in Lake Ingrahm and saw a decent number of shorebirds; Red Knots, Dowitchers, Black-bellied, Semipalmated and Wilson Plovers, Least and Semipalmated Sandpipers, and about 19 Whimbrel (including those feeding off Clubhouse Beach). Conspicously absent were Dunlins, with only one seen. We also didn't see the Piping Plovers that winter on East Cape. Snake Bight numbers were much lower than Ingrahm with the exception of Marbled Godwits which seem to favor the food in Snake Bight.
Question; I recall someone telling me that an aerial survey in the Park a year or so ago found about 70 Flamingos? Did anyone else hear this?
Also, a belated Rail spot in the Keys- several months ago I found a dead Clapper Rail on the road adjacent to a nice pond on Geiger Key. It is on the West side of the road as you turn South off US1 on your way to the oceanside Geiger Key pub.
