This is a small(er) Myiarchus flycatcher that is slimmer than Great Crested. It is very light on the throat and breast, gradually blending into a pale yellow wash on the rest of the underparts. It has a small amount of rufous in the wings and tail and has extensive tertial edging. The bill is long, narrow and all dark. It's vocalizations here (winter) are infrequent whistle-like "wheet" calls, with slight ascending quality.
